The Division undertakes projects in all aspects of Civil Engineering services. SiVEST has a track record since 1952 and is continuously developing the range and depth of its skills by training and recruitment. Through a network of regional offices and strategically located core skill centres, we are able to provide the full range of professional civil and water engineering services locally and throughout Southern and Eastern Africa. The Water and Waste Water Division of SiVEST undertakes projects in all aspects of the water and sanitation cycle.
SiVEST is able to offer consulting services in Transportation Planning and Road Design by relying on extensive experience in the field. Associated structures such as culverts, underpasses and bridges are designed between SiVEST’s Road, Water and Structural Engineers. Our staff are trained in the use of labour intensive construction methods through NQF levels 5 and 7, which have been successfully applied in the field.
In recent years SiVEST has been involved in a myriad of building projects, both in the public and private sector. Examples of Commercial projects include high-profile Shopping Centres and Business Parks as well as Warehouses and Industrial Buildings. Due to the scarcity of water as a resource in Southern Africa, water demand \ loss management is crucial for water services providers. SiVEST combines in-situ flow measurement, network modelling, assessment and extensive expertise in Geographical Information System (GIS). SiVEST offers remote data collection (telemetry) services, which provide vital information for successful water resources management.
